Leap Castle,

Leap Castle, in County
Offaly, was built in the 15th century by one of the O’Carroll clan’s most
powerful families, and this clan was known for their brutality and force in
which they protected themselves and their lands. Family troubles plagued
the clan, which eventually resulted in their downfall. The current
owners, who are trying to restore the castle, say it took several trips to
remove all of the bones found in the pit, and a number of strange events have
occurred since, including the owner being thrown off a ladder while trying to
work.
Hunyad

Hunyad Castle associated with the story of Count
Dracula, and has the most reputed sightings. It is believed that Turkish
prisoners, who were dropped into a pit and told if they dug a well to water,
they’d be set free. However when they reached water, their captors did not set them free, and left them for
dead. Its is believed that their souls still roaming the castle.

The building seems to have some worldly bad luck ,an insane man was imprisoned in the basement, a
child fell down the stairs and died, a maid fell off the balcony and died, a
stable boy burnt in a fire,and a
caretaker was murdered .There must be some very angry spirits here.Visitors on
the public tours have been physically held back from going up or down stairs
and voices have given then specific orders to leave rooms.

The Waverly Sanatorium was
originally build as a family home, but in the days before antibiotics, plague
victims were often rounded up and put in hospitals. The hospital is now in
disrepair, and is often called the most haunted hospital in America. What
is particularly creepy is known as the tunnel. The underground passage was used
to carry the dead from the building and out to the graveyards, but when people
started dying a little too quickly; this is where the bodies lay in wait for
the hearse to take them away. Room 502 is the
subject of a local myth about two suicides which are said to have occurred in
the room. The first reported death is that of nurse Mary Hillenburg, who is
said to have hanged herself from a fixture in 1928 after becoming pregnant out
of wedlock; the second, that of a nurse who is said to have been pushed or
jumped out the window.

.It is said that a wicked sorcerer cursed the city after being spurned by a
princess. The 17th-century city was soon destroyed by an advancing army,
leaving only its temples intact, and has been uninhabited ever since. Visitors
say that birds and wildlife fall silent as the spirit of the sorcerer
approaches at night, and nobody has ever tried to spend the night there.

Located at the foot of Mount Fuji, Japan’s Aokigahara
Forest is known by many tourists for its lovely ice caverns, but few realize
the more sinister aspects of this sea of trees. This is Japan’s number
one suicide spots, and one of the biggest suicide spots in the world, as it is
a location featured in many Japanese folk tales. Ubasute was once often
practiced here, where an elderly female member of a family was taken here and
left to die. There also few number of other strange features of the landscape,
including rumors that compasses and other electronic equipment fail in the
forest, resulting in many travelers getting lost .
The Catacombs of Paris, France
The mine-like catacombs
that run underneath the streets of Paris are filled with so many bones. You
will feel the presence of those from another plane, empty skulls staring back
at you from all sides. Many visitors report hands brushing against them or
touching them while there are at underground.Hence,making a quick exit is not
possible. The Catacombs seem to be open one day and closed the next,
however the whims of the Parisian government feel.
The Skirrid Inn
According to folklore, in its 900-year history over 180 people have been
hanged from a beam on the staircase, which is still in place today, with rope
marks, apparently. The first floor of the inn is thought to have been a
courtroom in the past.Glasses often suddenly fly
across the room of their own accord, faces are seen at windows and people feel
nooses around their necks. Guests who stay there often report waking to icy
room temperatures ,even when the heating is on and the feeling of being
watched.
Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh Scotland
Edinburgh is a city in constant
struggle between England and Scotland, so many lives were lost in the
city limits. The city had so much trouble with this spot they
put it under lock and key, and today City of the Dead tours will take you
inside. There are many, many, many documented events on this tour, including
scars, marks, and other troubling ailments of the guests after entering the
prison.

Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Colorado
The Stanley Hotel is a gorgeous
Georgian hotel set in the Rocky Mountains. The spot itself is a unique one
with fantastic views and are in sort of a sound bubble . The scary events that
were featured in King’s The Shining are mostly based on real events that have
happened here.It is reported that when the American Sci-Fi channel team came to
film here, they saw tables throw in the air and their drinking glasses
shattered, but only when the cameras were turned off.

Fear Factory – Niagara Falls, Ontario
Nightmares Fear Factory was one
of the scariest places on earth. The building was once a coffin factory.If you’ve been to Niagara Falls, you’ll know that on
Clifton Hill on the Canadian side is full of plenty of haunted attractions,but
the real deal isn't on the main drag but it’s actually up and over a
block.
Borley Rectory
Built in 1863 for the Reverend Henry Bull, it sits on the site of an
ancient monastery. The ghost of a mournful nun who patrolled the so-called
'Nun's Walk' had often been seen there. An old story claimed that she had
fallen in love with a monk from the Borley Monastery and the two had tried to
elope together but had been quickly tracked down. The monk was executed and the
nun bricked up in the cellars of the monastic buildings.
Tower of London
The picture here is of one of the most famous spirits to haunt the Tower
of London: one of the wives of Henry VIII, beheaded in the Tower in 1536. Her
ghost has been seen on many occasions, sometimes carrying her head, on Tower
Green and in the Tower Chapel Royal
Woodchester Mansion
Woodchester Mansion in Gloucestershire, England, is another building with
a ghostly reputation. Building work has never been completed here, and in the
last 200 years workers have repeatedly run from the place and seven builders
are rumoured to have died in inexplicable accidents.
Rose Hall
This huge house is inhabited by the ghost of voodoo
priestess's daughter, Annie Palmer, who reportedly causes bloodstains to appear
and disappear randomly. She was murdered in her bed after an 11-year reign of
death, torture and nymphomania.Annie murdered three husbands and a succession
of slave lovers by poisoning, strangulation and witchcraft, before forcing
other slaves to carry bodies through a tunnel to be buried on a beach.
According to legend, it is not just the tormented Annie who roams the house,
but also ghosts of the slave babies she sacrificed in rituals.
