Daily Calories & Macros Calculator © 2025 by Dr Lakdhesz

Estimates: Mifflin–St Jeor BMR → activity multiplier (TDEE). Macros use evidence-based protein per-kg guidance and AMDR-inspired carbs/fat splits tuned to goal.
Summary of assumptions:
  • BMR = Mifflin–St Jeor; TDEE = BMR × activity factor.
  • Protein targets use g/kg/day per goal (see result). Protein = 4 kcal/g.
  • Fats set by goal as % of total kcal (20–35% AMDR baseline, tuned to goal); remaining calories → carbs (4 kcal/g).
  • Kidney / liver checks alter protein guidance conservatively — always consult a clinician/dietitian for medical conditions.
Notes
Protein guidance: maintenance ~0.8–1.0 g/kg; muscle building ~1.6–2.0 g/kg; cutting higher protein (1.6–2.4 g/kg) to preserve lean mass; dialysis/CKD/liver adjustments require specialist care.

Protein Requirement Calculator For CKD/Liver Disease

Estimates use kg and g/kg guidelines by © 2025 by Dr Lakdhesz. Not a prescription — seek clinician advice if you have medical conditions.
Quick notes:
• RDA for healthy sedentary adults ≈ 0.8 g/kg/day (baseline).
• For muscle-building most evidence supports ~1.6 g/kg/day (range ~1.2–2.2 g/kg depending on intensity/age).
• In CKD, protein intake often needs individualization; advanced CKD may require lower targets or specialist advice. Dialysis patients typically need higher protein intake due to losses.
Main guideline sources for logic: JISSN/consensus on protein for athletes and hypertrophy; KDIGO/KDOQI and KDOQI nutrition guidance for CKD; ESPEN/ACG guidance for liver disease. (See below for citations.)
References
1) Int Sports Nutrition / JISSN & meta-analyses on protein for hypertrophy and 1.6 g/kg target.
2) KDOQI/KDIGO guidance for CKD and dialysis (protein 0.6–0.8 g/kg in some advanced CKD; ≥1.2 g/kg for dialysis).
3) ESPEN/ACG guidance: do not routinely restrict protein for liver disease/hepatic encephalopathy; often 1.2–1.5 g/kg/day is recommended.
