Medical field, health profession, doctors are individuals that directly linked to fixing and sustaining well being.
But I wonder why there's no gym in any government hospitals?Do they have one in Europe or States?
Definitely not in Malaysia and Bangladesh.
At least they could compromise with sleep.
It's funny but a man who sleep 5 hours per day has smaller testicles than a guy that sleeping for 7, 8 hours.
Basically it causes your testosterone level to drop to the level as if you're 10 years older than your real age.
That's definitely not good for a healthy reproductive system and well being.
Why we have to construct a system that torture doctor deliberately?
It was a torture while studying and it remains the same while you're working.
The only soothing part is, you getting paid during the latter.
Lack of sleep hampers hippocampal's function and decision making profoundly.
Constant learning, memorizing, remembering,taking right immediate action are crucial for a doctor but..
Then how could a houseman be efficient throughout the day?
Preparing us?Sounds like a bad way to prepare a health care provider.
Such system adapt more into the notion of disease care provider.
Let's see what it does to our heart by referring daylight saving time as a reference.
Daylight saving time is the practice of advancing clocks during summer months so that evening daylight lasts longer, while sacrificing normal sunrise times.
Typically, regions that use daylight saving time adjust clocks forward one hour close to the start of spring and adjust them backward in the autumn.
So it causes a lost hour of sleep in the spring and an extra hour of sleep in the fall.
It's sort of a global experiment on 1.6 billion people from 70 countries.
During spring,when we lost 1 hour of sleep, there's a subsequent 24% increase in heart attacks that following day.
In autumn when we gain an hour of sleep,we see 21% reduction in heart attacks.
When we sleep for 4 hours,our body's natural killer cells decrease by 70%.
Maybe that is why in 2007,World Health Organization classified night shifts as probable carcinogen due to circadian disruption.
We human made it such a way.Sleeping as laziness , sleep deprivation as ambitious.
Waking up late as laziness while going to bed early isn't.It the same coin with two sides.
Sometime the whole system especially the industrial system pay us money in exchange for our health in long run.
Maybe it's our job to aware of this and spend extra time and do some homework on how to reduce the negative impact it has on our health.
The two thing to achieve a good sleep other than avoid caffeine and alcohol is, sleep at the regular time everyday and in order to induce and sustain a good night,the temperature shouldn't be too high.
To keep it simple,shorter sleep, shorter life.
