How Google Predict Our Happiness

"Why did you went to a haunted place?"my friend asked an irrelevant question.
"Are you depressed?"additional extraneous from him.
That's one of the places that I was fully in present. No futuristic thoughts nor past bullshit.

Happiness.
A meaningless, time based term .We can't really measure it.It will never last forever but we can measure life's satisfaction.
When i dig into it, I learnt a coolest way to measure happiness through what we google for.
It turns out that people who google about dogs are happier than people who are googling cats.People that sharing cats memes.. .😏🤔
People who are looking  for action and comedy movies than romantic movies are happier.
The funny part was, people who google for softcore porn are happier than people who google for hardcore porn.🤭
I learnt that Singapore is the 2nd happiest country in Asia.
Malaysia which was 35th last year dropped to 80th on this year's list.
There's no ghettos for Malay or Indian nor gated community for Chinese there.
Kids go to school together and happiness is an important personal goal for most Singaporean.
Nice.
About 40% of our happiness is dictated by out genes.
About 15% is dictated by our life circumstances and about 50% of our happiness is really up to us.
Take control of that 50%.

Visiting Haunted Mansion During Hungry Ghost Festival | 99 Door Haunted Mansion

Today was my anniversary years back.
That is why I'm posting this video today.A horror video as a resemblance of a horrific relationship. 😅

If you’ve ever been alone in an old house or graveyard at night, it might seem like every little sound is amplified and menacing. The hair on the back of your neck stands up and you feel like someone is watching you. Even though you don’t believe in ghosts, in certain spooky situations it’s not difficult to imagine a ghostly apparition coming to get you.

Magnetic fields have interesting effects on living creatures. Earth’s magnetic field protects us from cosmic rays and solar winds. It also helps different animals navigate or even determine up from down. But sometimes magnetic fields can have scary effects on our brains, such as causing hallucinations and ghostly sightings.

Paranormal researchers and ghost hunters believe ghosts can generate electromagnetic fields of their own. They believe ghosts are able to induce spooky events such as flickering lights or doors opening and closing mysteriously by manipulating the electromagnetic field.
The only good thing was,we didn't bring an EMF device.
When rewatching the footages, I realized that, the flickering happened only when the camera or the monopod make contact with any part of the building. It wasn't like the spirit was standing at a certain location but he entire building carries some sort of negative energy.
Overall, it was fun except editing the video alone at night.

After 5 days, I'm done with the editing.

Visiting a haunted house during the month of hungry ghost festival,a period where the gates of Hell will be opened permitting all ghosts to receive food and drink was a deliberate decision.

Many of these haunted places in Malaysia seem to have similar traits, either a hotspot for black magic practices or a site for tragic deaths and this place, one of the top 10 haunted place in this country luckily had both as a combo.

It is often said that you shouldn’t dabble with what is unseen.
You never know what terrifying creatures may be following you around and watching you sleep at night. So we made 48 hour observation. Nothing happened at night and no bad dreams.

Hidden in a quiet corner of a palm-oil plantation in Nibong Tebal,
they’re said to be cursed, and a few have even encountered possessions. Investigators have also reported feeling overwhelmed by an evil presence(which is true from our experience), fleeing even before carrying out their investigations.

While rechecking the footages, now I know why that glitching happened right at the steps leading into the house.
Multiple shots, different cameras but same flickering.Something that never ever happened before while making more than 50+ videos.

The Ramsden family's grandson, John St. Maur Ramsden, was viciously murdered on the steps leading into the home. Shot twice in the head.

In the middle of all this,I was wondering, what kind of sweet memories a couple would create at a deserted haunted mansion in the middle of hidden palm-oil plantation? 🤔😏

Cyber Harassment | #metoo

A week ago,I was talking with my friend and a gym mate came down from the gym. He's unmarried & in his early forties.Uninvitedly ,he joined us.He was saying that he and a bunch of his friends went for a movie;after getting drunk. He continued, while waiting, his friends were teasing the girls that passed by them.Alone, with a boyfriend or as a family,it doesn't matter for them;he said with a sordid smile.

Is that an act of bravery?🙄
After getting drunk?😏
With friends around?😒

This is the script that we've been given, right?Male are strong and female are weak.Subconsciously, it's been communicated to hundreds of millions of young boys and girls all over the world.

I have to admit that,I had unconsciously been hurting the womans in my life once.Be it gf, siblings or my mother .It is an ugly aspect that I changed with time.

Men,are you confident enough to listen to the women in your life?
To hear their ideas and solution?
To hold their anguish and actually believe them even if it's against you?
And will you be man enough to stand up for other humans when you witness or hear stories of sexual or cyber harassment without sharing that?
Will you actually stand up and do something so that one day we don't have to live in a world where a woman has to risk everything and come forward to say the word me too?
Be it a male or female, prepare your self so that one day,no one can hurt you.And you can stand up for someone.

Not starving myself actually.

Consequences

Wasn't even painful.
Not as much as what humans inflicted.

How To Overcome An Addiction

When it's a controversial topic, I just limit them to my blog.Late at night,my friends were asking about coolidge effect from my story. Few of them said it's better for someone to stop any sort of addiction.

It's been about a century since we made this fateful decision to take addicts and punish them, make them suffer because we believe that would deter them and give an incentive to stop.

Everything you think you know about addiction is wrong.

I have seen patients were given loads of ketamine, diamorphine, diazepam, tramadol etc for long period of time during surgeries or during post operative window period.

All the opioids given in a hospital is actually much better, medically pure than those contaminated stuff on the streets.

I wondered why these people that exposed to all that chemical hooks never became an addict.
They didn't leave the hospital as  junkies.

When I tried to learn more about this,I came across an experiment by a psychology professor named Bruce Alexander.

He placed rats in a cage and put 2 bottles of water. One is plain water and another one is mixed with either heroin or cocaine.

The rats almost always prefer the drugged water and kill themselves quite quickly.
Then he noticed something. He have been putting the rats in an empty cage. Those rats have nothing else to do except to use those drugs.
So he tried something different. He built a cage called rat park which is basically a heaven  for rats. They got loads of cheese, colored balls, tunnels, lots of female rats as well. Then he placed both water bottles. The fascinating thing was,in rat park, they don't like the drugged water, almost none of the rats drink it.
I thought maybe it's just about rats, not for us but unfortunately there was a human experiment in an exact principle. It was the Vietnam War.In Vietnam,20% of the American troops were using loads of heroin but when they got back home, they didn't go to rehab nor into withdrawal.95% of them just stopped.
Those experiments raised a different question.
What if addiction isn't about chemical hooks?
What if addiction is about your cage?
What if addiction is an adaptation to your environment?
Human beings have a natural and innate needs to bond. When we're happy and healthy,we will bond and connect with each other but if you can't do that due to any reason, you will bond with something that will give you some sense of relief.
If you're suffering from any sort of addiction, first find your cage that you have been trapped in.Once you fix the root cause, the addiction which is a symptom will disappear itself.
